THE BALANCING ACT, CENTRE STAGE AT THE CIRCUS……

The balancing act, centre stage at the circus……

Do you ever wonder, what it would be like to be a Ringmaster? I think I know, seriously the definition of a circus

is a company of performers who put on diverse entertainment shows that include clowns, acrobats, trained animals, trapeze acts, musicians, dancers, hoopers, tightrope walkers, jugglers, magicians, unicyclists, as well as other object manipulation and stunt-oriented artists. Lately this is my life, except for the trapeze act and dancers, it is pretty much covered. This week I had an amazing conversation with a wonderful individual about starting “Aftercare” in another part of the province. I truly believe she gets it, understands the importance of what we represent and why we do what we do. It is still a long journey for us, no question! The road ahead has not been travelled in this style before, so I always anticipate a few bumps along the way, as I explained to her. It is when 10 clowns start getting out of that little smart car that the show gets like walking a tight rope some days for me. I basically want to explain it like this. Most days I feel like the juggler, my schedule can change in a minutes notice, Thank God for “TimeHero” it keeps me on track. Just when I think “okay, I got this” my day should go pretty smoothly BAM! I need to be the magician and hope my magic act is not just pulling a rabbit from a hat. When I first started “Dragonfly Advisory Services” it was pretty simple, I was the Ringmaster the “Master of Ceremonies”. Today I can train the wild beasts when necessary and enjoy being the musician as I enjoy my experience on the road. I am not too sure if I would consider myself a stunt-oriented artist, but when we are always exploring new opportunities for Dragonfly, maybe, just maybe it fits. The Circus is full of life and entertainment, and you always hope to enjoy the show. I feel the same way, each day is a new adventure and sometimes it is a balancing act between work and family, and then we are centre stage, but you know what? I would not change it for the world, because like most young at heart, I enjoy a good circus, and I can guarantee it is never boring. Till next time…..
